The PS5 has been launched in Europe, South America and a few other markets today

India is still not on that list of countries

We still have no word on when the PS5 will launch in India yet

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ll know that the PS5 is about to launch in Europe, Asia, South Africa, The Middle East and even in South America, today, November 19. You want to know one country that isn’t on that list? You guessed right, India is clearly missing from the November 19 launch of the PlayStation 5. We’ve reported the fact that even Sony India has refused to reveal a launch date for the PS5 in India. We’re not sure what the hold-up really is, but it is what it is.

There have been rumours that Sony is planning on releasing the PS5 sometime in December, but those are unsubstantiated and the official word from the horse’s mouth is that there is no release date for India, right now. Just a few days ago, the Sony India PlayStation page posted a photo that asked Indian PS5 fans to continue to monitor the official Sony PlayStation channels with no word on an Indian launch date. Needless to say, fans were not having it and let Sony know their displeasure.

And, it hasn't been a problem free launch for the PS5 either. The console has had a few issues at launch that you can find out more about, right here. To be fair to the other side, we did report that the Xbox Series X/S may be facing supply shortages and have actually been sold out on both Amazon and Fipkart. You can read more about that here
