Star Wars: The Old Republic’s writer reveals some details about the next story Arc
Are you a fan of Star Wars: The Old Republic, the massively popular Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game? Well, if you are, there is some interesting news with respect to the story arc of the next Old Republic game.
BioWare writer Hall Wood has hinted at some very interesting information about the next game, saying that the story will involve a Hull Cartel instigated uprising along with a mysterious “Shroud” that would be connected with the Dread Masters.
“For decades since the Sith Empire returned to war against the Republic, the Hutt Cartel has been content to watch from the sidelines and profit from the chaos,” Hood said. “That’s all about to change, and the fallout from the Hutts’ actions will have long-term consequences for the entire galaxy. The Dread Masters aren’t finished yet, either. They’re about to unleash something terrible that only the galaxy’s most powerful defenders have any hope of stopping. If I tell you any more, the Shroud will have me eliminated for talking. Who is this ‘Shroud,’ you ask? Oh, you’ll see….” he added.
BioWare had announced back in August that the Old Republic would be going free-to-play come November 15th as a subscription based model posed a major barrier to all those who wanted to be a part of the Star Wars: Old Republic universe. Of course, for those who were on paid subscriptions (and have renewed their subscriptions) have received special benefits in the form of Cartel Coins and access to special in-game items.
Star Wars Old Republic is a free-to-play MMO that allows users to don the role of any one of the eight classic Star Wars characters, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Smuggler, Trooper, Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent, allowing them to become the hero or villain of their own personal Star Wars saga.
