After a forgettable Day 1, which was plagued by technical issues, Skyesports Championship 2024 saw its first full day of play on Wednesday. Day 1 saw only one game played between TheMongolZ and True Rippers, which ended with TheMongolZ taking home the win. On Wednesday, we had nine matches played between teams, where they took to the Counter-Strike battlegrounds to prove their mettle.
In the first set of games played on Wednesday, Eternal Fire, the Turkish squad headlined by XANTARES, defeated NBK- led Revanant. It was relatively easy sailing for Eternal Fire, who clinched the game 13-6 on Nuke. Meanwhile, Aurora faced off against PARIVISION, who put in a rather underwhelming performance to start the proceedings. The teams took to Anubis to lock horns, and Aurora registered a comprehensive win over PARIVISION.
The second match on Nuke on Wednesday, between 3DMAX and AMKAL had the blessings of the CS gods as they smiled and sent the game into overtime, giving the players and the fans watching at home, a good dose of competitive Counter-Strike. Pierre ‘Ex3rcice’ Bulinge for 3DMAX topped the charts as 3DMAX walked home with a 16-14 win. The scoreline might bring back memories of the old days, when we had 30-round games of CS. Good days, indeed.
Four-time Major champion gla1ve, who is leading ENCE, one of the most popular organisations taking part in Skyesports Championship 2024, put to display why he is known to be one of the best in-game leaders CS has seen over the years. ENCE pipped BLEED 13-5 to secure their first win of the tourney.
In their second game of the Skyesports Championship 2024, TheMongolZ got their first taste of defeat at the hands of PARIVISION, who redeemed themselves after their opening game and won their match on Mirage with a 13-11 scoreline. Eternal Fire, the tournament favourites, had Ismailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dörtkardeş lead the charge for them in their game against DMS. The Turkish squad registered a comprehensive win over DMS, who were able to manage 6 round wins on Inferno, compared to the match-winning 13 round wins of Eternal Fire.
True Rippers and Revenant are yet to register their first win of the tournament. In the second game of the day for True Rippers, they were handed defeat by BLEED, who got their first taste of victory, winning the match 13-10 on Anubis. AMKAL, who had shown signs of brilliance during their game against 3DMAX, realised their goal of securing a win on Wednesday, as they romped over Revenant, who were able to manage only 4 rounds in the MR12 game against 3DMAX.
ENCE had started their run at the Skyesports Championship 2024, with a win against BLEED. But The MongolZ showed them that they were a force to be reckoned with, as they handed ENCE a 13-5 defeat on Mirage, as the first full day of the tournament came to a close.
It is to be noted that Group B of the tournament has only five teams compared to the 6 of Group A, as we had BetBoom withdraw from the tournament, as they expressed their concerns about the fairness of the tournament and other issues.

As we head into Day 3 of the tournament, The MongolZ and Eternal Fire sit on top of their respective groups with two wins each to their names. The MongolZ, who have already played three games, one more than the rest of the teams, have had their first taste of loss to start the proceedings.
ENCE and AMKAL, whose hopes hang by a thread after a one-win, one-loss day, will be looking to get a fair lead over the others in their groups as we inch closer to the playoffs. Day 3 comes with the promise of exciting CS action. Here’s a look at the schedule of Day 3 of the Group Stage of the Skyesports Championship 2024 –
