Apparently, leaked images of the next NFS title under development, at Criterion Studios are making rounds of the Internet. There is not a lot of information to go along with the images save for speculations based on those images. If these concept art images are the real-deal then it looks like cop chases are making a comeback to the series and there may even be weather effects in the new sequel. Also, the images indicate that the Criterion’s next project is going to be a cross between Need for Speed and Burnout Paradise. The game may feature licensed cars with options to customize the car’s performance and appearance. It is also rumored that the city in the game is based on San Francisco and the map will be larger when compared to Need for Speed Underground. Judging by the images, it looks like the game will also feature sports bikes alongside the usual collection of sport cars.
And we may actually have a name for this game in the series as the images are captioned Need for Speed: Out of the Law, followed by what appears to be the game’s tagline — “Street Racing is not a crime”. So, looks like it back to street racing with cops chasing your tail while you speed through the streets in your pimped-up ride.
