Resident Evil Chronicles HD coming to the PS3 with Move support

Updated on 28-May-2012

Two of the Wii’s acclaimed Resident Evil titles will be making their way to the PS3 in a HD remastered edition. The game will support Sony’s motion control, the PlayStation Move apart from supporting the regular controller. The game will be available as a digital download via the PlayStation Store and will cost gamers $26.99 (Rs. 1,500 approx.). Called Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection, it contains Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.

Initially, gamers will have to download both the games as a bundled pack. But later on, both the games will be available as individual downloads as well. The individual downloads will be available from July 17th 2012 and will be priced at $ 17.99 (Rs. 994 approx.) each. The games support both single as well as multiplayer.

“Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will offer gamers the chance to relive the Resident Evil story so far. The intense shooter gameplay from both titles is back as players attempt to survive the horror alone or with a friend in co-op mode, earning trophies as they go,” said Capcom in a statement.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is based on the lines of Resident Evil 2, where as Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles gets gamers to explore locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 as well as new locations. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways.

Fans of the franchise can pick up this title to take a trip down memory lane before the launch of Resident Evil 6.
