Ratchet & Clank: QForce coming to the PlayStation 3 in 2012

Updated on 31-May-2012

The dynamic duo is back. Well, not Batman and Robin, this is Ratchet and Clank.

On the PlayStation EU blog, Insomniac Games said, “We know that the HD remaster of our classic PS2 Ratchet & Clank games is something our community has been requesting for a long time and we’re looking forward to bringing this to fans this summer with The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy.”

It’s also the 10th anniversary of Ratchet and Clank and a new game will be launched in the honour that the dynamic duo have completed a decade together keeping the galaxy safe. Ratchet & Clank: QForce is a fun-sized Ratchet adventure that will be available to download from PlayStation Store or purchase on Blu-ray disc. The game is expected in 2012 but no exact launch date or pricing have yet been detailed.

Before QForce, there have been three Ratchet and Clank games on the PS3 – Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty, and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Of the three-mentioned games, Quest for Booty was a short game released on PSN and later made available on Blu-Ray. It was a short game linking the events of Tools of Destruction and a Crack in Time.

All the three games were met with praise on grounds of stellar graphics, witty humour and a story that appealed to audiences of all ages. Another game on the Ratchet and Clank series was launched for the PS3 called Ratchet and Clank: All for One. The primary focus of the game was multiplayer but it was met with mixed reviews.
