Those who are avid PUBG players on PC know that the game needs a lot of improvements. Aside from bugs and glitches, the gameplay needed some refinement and it looks like PUBG Corp. has taken note. PUBG update 30 is now available on the Test Server for PC and it brings a host of new features for the title, along with a new weapon, vehicle and numerous gameplay improvements. This update also borrows some features from the new battle royale game around the block, Apex Legends. Player characters will now be able to grab onto ledges, which should help them scale small obstructions like walls and fences.
In addition to the Ledge Grab feature, a Radio Messages that are text-based quick pings a player can use to notify teammates of various scenarios have also been added. After the update, one can hold the mouse wheel or press F3 to access the option and select from eight preset messages. Players can ping their squad when they spot an enemy, need ammo or a medkit or backup. Additionally, the name and location of an item will also be shared when the system is used near an item. These Radio Messages will come in handy when you don’t want to talk to your teammates but still want to interact.
The BRDM-2 is an armor plated amphibious assault vehicle that can is replacing the UAZ on all maps. It can be called in via a special Care Package using the Flare Gun and it has a total HP of 2500, which is twice as much as the UAZ. Its wheels cannot be damaged and it can traverse on both land and water. However, players won’t be able to shoot while using the vehicle. It can accommodate four players with a top speed on water being 22km/h and top speed on the road is 102km/h when boosted.
The update 30 also adds a new Deagle handgun to the game, which inflicts the strongest pistol damage. The weapon will spawn on all maps and is said to deal 62 damage per shot, with support for both,red-dot and holographic sights, different magazines and a laser sight that will improve hip fire accuracy. The handgun has a single fire mode type that uses .45 ACP ammo and the standard magazine fits 7 rounds, which can be extended to 10 with an extended magazine.
