PUBG Mobile 0.9.5 update goes live with Royale Pass Season 4, brings M762 automatic rifle, Scooter, Hardcore Mode, and more
The PUBG Mobile Season 4 Royale Pass is also available and the game now features a new Scooter vehicle in Sanhok, which can transport two players.
PUBG Mobile has received the new version 0.9.5 update which also brings Royale Pass Season 4 to the mobile game. Season 4 of the famous Battle Royale gaming title, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG Mobile is now accessible, along with many new features and improvements like a new game mode, a new firearm, a new vehicle, rare outfits, new hairstyles and more.
What's new in PUBG Mobile 0.9.5 update?
The new update weighs around 138 MB in size and the first apparent change is the addition of the new M762 automatic rifle, which can be found on all maps while playing the game. It is the first 7.62mm round firing rifle that has the ability to equip a stock. Players will also find the Scooter in Sanhok that can carry two players and the map has also been updated with dynamic weather that randomly changes between sunny, rain and foggy. Previously, the game developers introduced Night Mode in Erangel but it is yet to be implemented on other Miramar and Sanhok.
The Arcade Mode gets a new Hardcore Mode alongside War, Sniper Training, Quick Match and Mini Zone. This mode is aimed at advanced players and will be available periodically in the form of "Hardcore Week". The new mode currently supports only the Erangel map and removes audio cues like footsteps like its PC version, so that the game is a bit more challenging. Coming to the new Royale Pass for Season 4, it adds Mission Cards for players to complete harder missions and there are new firearm finishes, character faces, hairstyles and rare outfit rewards. There's also a new event where packs are discounted heavily during Black Friday. Additionally, for players to purchase next season's Pass, the game has added 600 UC to Elite Pass rewards. The redemption feature has also been tweaked so that Elite Pass holders can purchase discounted items with BP or RP points. Getting measly crate items can be frustrating and keeping this in mind, the game developers have put a system in place that dramatically increases the odds of receiving crate items for a limited amount of time.
Additional improvements to PUBG Mobile in Season 4 includes an optimised chat system that is said to consume less memory and retain more messages. Matchmaking and chat now supports not selecting a second language and the front page of the in-game Shop has been revamped to emphasise weapon finish themes. The 0.9.5 update also adds increased odds of certain crate drops.
Previous PUBG updates
Alongside PUBG Mobile, the PC version of the gaming title is also doing well. The game developers recently announced that PUBG for PC has been fixed and the ‘Fix PUBG’ initiative is now over, which was running for three months. This was announced in a Steam Community forum post by Taeseok Jang, Executive Producer of PUBG, who shared the results of the campaign as well as the next step the game devs will now take. As per the 2019 PUBG roadmap, the game studio will primarily focus on build stability and quality, which will be followed addition of new gameplay and content. This means that one can expect builds to be released at a slower pace, “but as these processes become more proficient, we hope to provide new content as fast as before, while maintaining our new stability and quality-first goal.”
In other news, PUBG is expected to soon arrive for the PlayStation 4. We already know what its digital copy will cost but as per a report, the physical disk could cost you Rs 1,999. The report also notes that Sony India itself will be handling distribution. The game's disc is not available yet via online retailers like Amazon or Flipkart, however, buyers can pre-order it from GamesTheShop where it is said to be made available from December 7, which is the same as the official release date for the game.
