PUBG Mobile India welcome gift spotted in global beta version
No word from developers over launch of PUBG Mobile in India
PUBG Mobile India launch is still up in the air after the game was banned in India on September 2. The developers soon announced that India will be getting a special version of the popular battle royale game but the launch seems to have met with some hurdles as there is no official update even after a month. However, a new leak reveals that PUBG Mobile India version will be offering a welcome gift to the players when it officially goes live.
According to a leak by VIP Gaming channel on YouTube, an India-centric welcome gift has been spotted in the global beta version of PUBG Mobile. The gift contains the Anarkali Set, headgear and a classic crate coupon.

Interestingly, the Anarkali outfit was released earlier in January 2020 during the festival of Makar Sankranti. The outfit was a part of the Kites Festival Event in PUBG Mobile.
There’s no certainty that the Anarkali outfit will be offered as a welcome gift and the developers could just be testing all the India-centric outfits for the Indian version of PUBG Mobile. PUBG Corp has confirmed that the game will release with in-game content customized for the Indian players and the Anarkali outfit could be a part of the game as well. However, the exact launch date for PUBG Mobile India remains uncertain.
Several reports in the past few weeks have hinted that the developers are yet to get a nod from the Indian government to resume operations in the country. It could be a while before we get to see PUBG Mobile India go live in the country but the latest leak does indicate that the developers are working on launching the game soon.
PUBG Mobile India was previously rumoured to release on November 20 in India, however, we were able to confirm that it wasn’t the case and players will have to wait longer. The game was banned in India in September along with 118 other apps after the government cited privacy and security reasons.
In the run-up to its re-launch, PUBG Mobile developers have released a website and a teaser featuring three popular PUBG Mobile players, Aaditya ‘Dynamo’ Sawant, Jonathan Amaral and Chetan ‘Kronten’ Chandgude. A report by TechCrunch hinted at the game’s possible return before the end of the year, however, PUBG Corp. has stated that it will reveal more information in the launch of PUBG Mobile India “at a later date”.
