PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed 3 gets 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay

Updated on 07-Aug-2012

The war of exclusive content in a multiplatform game is the deciding factor on whether you will pick up the PS3 or the Xbox 360 version of the game. For the Call of Duty lovers, the Xbox 360 is the preferred platform as it gets all the DLC’s before the competition. This situation is the other way round for Battlefield 3.

Ubisoft, which is one of the largest publishers of multiplatform games, will be bringing 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay of Assassin’s Creed 3 to Sony’s home console, the PS3. The information comes from some box art of the game that was published on Amazon UK. As of writing the article, the information is still available on the online shopping website.

At E3 2012, Ubisoft announced that there would be four exclusive downloadable missions available exclusively for the PS3.

This is not the first time that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has seen exclusive content for the PS3. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood too saw the launch of exclusive DLC for the PS3.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is set to hit the store shelves for the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC on October 30th 2012. If you are one who is oblivious to the franchise or would like to check out some gameplay before investing in the game, you can take a look at a demo of Assassin’s Creed 3 here.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is based on Ubisoft’s AnvilNext game engine. You can take a look at some of the details of the engine here.
