Announcement about the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake
Ubisoft initially announced in September 2020 that it was working on the remake of the classic Prince of Persia : Sands of Time. A game loved by many enthusiasts of the field. This obviously got people excited as the trailer stated that the game will come out in January 2021, just three months later.
Sands of Time : Delayed
Originally meant to release in January, Ubisoft took the decision to postpone its launch to March and tweeted this at the end of last year.

Although, there was still some hope left in the die hard fans as they thought they could at least catch a glimpse of the remake at E3 this year, but that too isn’t happening as the devs wrote : "As you might have already read, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet"
About the Remake
The remake is being developed by Ubisoft Pune and features a visual overhaul and improved graphics as compared to the original 2003 Sands of Time. Some combat enhancements and camera POV have also been added in the remake. Additional motion-capture and voice recordings have also been created, with original Prince actor Yuri Lowenthal back in the role and Guidestones actress Supinder Wraich cast as Farah.
Conclusion
A lot of big titles are being announced at E3 this week and sadly Sands of Time remake isn’t one of them. Although the remake looked more like a remaster, we’re glad that Ubisoft is taking it’s time to polish the game to it’s best possible version since Prince of Persia : Sands of Time is such a classic, it deserves a good remake and if them taking more time to make the game even better, we’re up for it!
