PlayStation Plus coming to the PS Vita today

PlayStation Plus, Sony’s premium online gaming content service is making its way to the PS Vita gamers in India today.

The official PlayStation Blog says, “Free games, special offers and irresistible discounts – get all of this with PlayStation Plus, now also available on PlayStation Vita.”

The service comes to the PS Vita at no extra cost if you are already a PlayStation Plus subscriber on your PS3. All users have to do is download the system software version 2.00, log in to your PlayStation account and voila! You are ready to now access PlayStation Plus content on the go.

With PlayStation Plus on PS Vita the following benefits are available in addition to what you already get on the PS3: 

  • An Instant Game Collection: download a huge selection of titles at no additional cost. Kick things off with Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Chronovolt, Gravity Rush and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack.
  • Automatic Updates: receive the latest system software and game updates without lifting a finger. You can also set your trophies and game saves to sync automatically.
  • Online storage for game saves: store up to 1GB of PS Vita game saves.

PS Vita system software update 2.00 also features improvements to the PS Vita system’s Internet browser, a dedicated email app and the ability to use Content Manager Assistant for PlayStation via Wi-Fi for wireless transfer between your PS Vita system and a computer or PS3. The PS Vita system software update 2.00 can be downloaded from the PlayStation Network now.
