Looks like all the owners of the older PlayStation 3 models had to do was to simply wait out the calendar bug. According to an official announcement on the PlayStation Blog, users should now be able to safely use their consoles without the danger of losing any data. Users ay be required to adjust the XMB clock if it is reporting and incorrect date, and from there on after connecting to PSN, the console should be able to fix any and all corrupted trophy information. Even though the sources at Sony did not specifically mention the issue with downloaded games becoming unavailable; the official statement does mention that all “…symptoms are now resolved” and “users are able to use their PS3 normally.”
