Konami has officially announced that their latest chapter in Metal Gear franchise – Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – will have a PC version via digital download only. However, there is no confirmation on the release date or the price.
The PC version was announced last month by series creator Hideo Kojima, however the press release was their first official confirmation. This makes the return of the franchise to the PC after more than a decade. The last PC version in the franchise was Metal Gear Solid 2.
Developers Kojima Productions and Platinum games have described the PC version as ‘full game’ and will run at 60 frames per second. The console version of the game was launched on February 21. The game is set in Metal Gear timeline between Metal Gear Solid 2 and 4 (MGS 3 was a prequel to the entire series). In ‘Revengeance’ you don the role of cyborg ninja Raiden as the main character.
Raiden, once feared as the child soldier “Jack the Ripper” during the First Liberian Civil War. Now, possesses a cyborg body and a high-frequency blade to slice and slash anything that stands in his way.
