Such an approach surely makes it a game that will keep you engrossed for long hours.

Sunset Overdrive

Your character’s amassed a lifetime’s worth of knowledge by playing video games, reading comic books, and action movies, which is what equips him to save the city. Run along the walls, jump from buildings and kill the mutants to save the survivors. The fast and explosive gameplay, witty storyline and an awesome apocalypse scenario let you express yourself and use the city as your playground.

Mad Max

Here is a game that focuses on vehicular combat more than close-counter hand combat. You can pick up weapons that you may find in the desert to stock your arsenal. Unlock new weapons, new skills and characteristics of your player as you progress through the game. Even though it has a stealth mode, you should go for the aggressive fighting style to truly enjoy the gaming experience.
