2025 is here and all that we are waiting for is GTA 6. There is no official date for the launch yet but rumours and leaks are already doing rounds on the internet. A recent leak has now allegedly revealed an image from the game. This image from Grand Theft Auto 6 dates back to 2021 according to metadata from the accompanying it.
Even though the image is four years old, it shows locations that we haven’t seen previously. This has added more fuel to the anticipation. It was shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit by user PaperFull1305. The image and two related videos reportedly resurfaced after being quickly deleted by the original poster. The image features a character, presumed to be Lucia, standing near a wall with containers visible in the background.
This has started another debate online. Fans are now speculating whether the place is a shipyard or a military base. In addition to that, the videos that have surfaced online show glimpses of what appears to be Rockstar Games’ offices. Notably, a PlayStation 5 development kit seen in the footage adds credibility to the leak.
The leak doesn’t give us a lot of information about GTA 6. However, fans are happy with the image’s detail, particularly the crisp shadow of the character. This hints that the game can have advanced graphical capabilities.
As I mentioned earlier, the company has not specified any release date. An announcement that came from Rockstar Games hinted at a Fall 2025 release window. The first trailer was released back in 2023, and fans are still waiting for a new one.
But until then, let’s take this information with a pinch of salt as Rockstar is yet to confirm all of this. Hopefully, as the new year has begun, we will get to know a lot more about the game.
