The leaked Amazon listing of the game was taken down, but not before screenshots showing the same were saved.
Looking like PlayStation 4 gamers’ wait for PUBG will be over soon. Amazon had listed the game on its website, along with a release date of December 8. The page was taken down, but not before Twitter user, Wario64, managed to get screenshots. Of course, this is in no way a confirmation of the launch date, but it does line up with previous reports.
Just last week, people over at ResetEra forums noticed an overlooked post on a PlayStation fan site in which a user found images and data related to the game on Sony’s server. This included images for the icon in the game library as well as the splash screen when the game is loading. Back in September, the PlayStation version of the game was rated by the South Korean classification board. It should also be noted that the game will be celebrating the one-year anniversary of its launch on the Microsoft Xbox One. This seems to suggest that there was a one-year exclusivity deal that the developers of the game had with Microsoft.
Speaking of Microsoft’s console, PUBG was recently added to the Xbox Game Pass library. This means that anyone with a subscription to Xbox Game Pass will be able to download and play the game. The game will be available from today. Besides PUBG, Xbox Game Pass also offers a bunch of other titles such as Forza Horizon 4, Doom, Halo: The Masterchief Collection, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and more.
Xbox Game Pass usually costs about Rs 700 per month in India. However, there is a promotion running right now, which will let gamers purchase the one-month pass for about Rs 50. So if anyone wanted to give Game Pass a try, now is a pretty good time to try it out.
