At the iPhone launch event last night, Apple showed off Infinity Blade III to showcase the power of the new iPhone 5S. The game will hit the Apple App Store on September 18, the same day when the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C hit store shelves. The game will be compatible with other iOS devices such as the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPod touch 5 and iPod touch 4. The game will be priced at $6.99 (Rs. 450 approx.).
Infinity Blade III that is referred to as the conclusion to the trilogy will introduce gamers to new characters along with new abilities and moves. Gamers will not only be able to play as Siris, the protagonist of the first two games, but also as Isa. She was first introduced as the mysterious woman in Infinity Blade 2. Each playable character will have separate weapons and unique moves along with a unique skill set. Both the playable characters will have their own fighting style as well.
The story of the game is still unclear. From the debutant trailer it looks like the bad guys have wiped out humanity and have taken over and it is your job to stop them. The game also showcases some Sci-Fi elements where you see the protagonists conversing in normal clothes, outside their armoured suits. The villain is also seen taunting our protagonist towards the end of the trailer.
Instead of a single playable location, which was the case with Infinity Blade 1 and 2, players this time around will have access to a world map giving them the ability to visit various locations. The map is housed in the Hideout, which is your primary base of operations.
