Rockstar Games yesterday released the first trailer of the most-awaited GTA 6 / GTA VI game. The next Grand Theft Auto title is scheduled to launch in 2025. The GTA VI trailer generated such immense excitement among GTA enthusiasts that it accumulated over 90 million views within the first 24 hours of its release.
The GTA 6 trailer has notably claimed the title of the most-viewed non-music video on YouTube, effortlessly surpassing the prior record set by popular YouTuber MrBeast.

MrBeast also acknowledged this and posted on X (formerly Twitter), “The GTA 6 trailer just broke our record for most views on YouTube in 24 hours.”

In the screenshot shared by the YouTuber, we can see that GTA 6 managed to achieve 70 million views in just 16 hours.
The GTA VI trailer starts with the introduction of a character named Lucia, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. She is apparently going to commit crimes with her partner upon her release from jail. The trailer’s focus on Lucia implies she might serve as the game’s protagonist.
In a press release, Rockstar Games mentioned that the game is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. So, it seems like we might be waiting a while for GTA VI to release for PC.
The press release also offered a very brief description of the upcoming game. “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet,” Rockstar Games said.
While the GTA VI trailer got us really excited, it also brought a bit of disappointment. GTA 6 won’t be available until 2025, so we have to wait more than a year to actually play the game.
