Grand Theft Auto (GTA) is one of the most popular gaming franchises in the world, and fans have been eagerly waiting for the next big instalment: GTA 6. While Rockstar Games has not revealed much about GTA 6, leaks and reports have given us a glimpse of what to expect.
With every GTA release, Rockstar raises the bar for open-world gaming, and GTA 6 is expected to be no different. Here’s everything we know so far about one of the most highly anticipated games.
GTA 6 release date (Expected)
Leaks suggest that GTA 6 is likely to launch on September 17, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, PC gamers might have to wait longer, as Rockstar is expected to take extra time optimising the game for computers. GTA 6 could arrive for PC sometime in 2026.
GTA 6 price in India (Expected)
Reports indicate that GTA 6 will come with a higher price tag than its predecessors. The standard edition is expected to cost around Rs 5,999, while special editions could go up to Rs 7,299. In international markets, the price could reach $100 (approx Rs 9,000.

GTA 6 system requirements (Expected)
Though Rockstar hasn’t officially revealed system requirements, leaks suggest that players will need at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor. The game is also expected to demand a GTX 1080Ti or Radeon RX 5700XT graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and at least 150GB of free storage on a Windows 10 (DirectX 12) PC.

GTA 6 gameplay and features (Expected)
One of the biggest changes in GTA 6 is the introduction of Lucia, the series’ first female protagonist. She will share the spotlight with a male character in a dual-storyline narrative. The game is also expected to feature improved AI, enhanced physics, and better graphics.
Rockstar is also expected to make the Wanted system more intelligent, with smarter police chases and new stealth mechanics to evade law enforcement.
GTA 6 map (Expected)
GTA 6 is set to bring back Vice City, inspired by Florida, but with a modern twist. Players will be able to explore a vast open world, including urban areas, beaches, swamps, and small towns.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the second GTA 6 trailer, which is expected to release before April 2025. With a few days left for the arrival of April, we won’t have to wait long to see if this rumour is true.
