Grand Theft Auto 6 also known as GTA 6 fans have been waiting for the new installment for a really long time now. And to their disappointment, Rockstar Games, the one behind the game, has chosen to remain tight-lipped. However, leaks and rumours circulating online have painted a fair picture and provide exciting insights into the upcoming title. From the expected release date to gameplay features, here’s what we know so far.
Well, an official release date for the same is yet to be announced, leaks suggest that GTA 6 could launch on September 17, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, PC players might have to wait until 2026, as Rockstar reportedly wants to optimise the game for PC before launch.
The upcoming GTA 6 can feature the series’ first female protagonist, Lucia, alongside her male counterpart in a dual-character story. This time, we will also get to see smarter AI, enhanced physics, and improved graphics, along with an upgraded Wanted system featuring more intelligent police mechanics. However, my suggestion is to take this with a pinch of salt as everything is confirmed yet.
In addition to this, The game’s map is expected to be inspired by Florida, bringing back a modernized Vice City with vast beaches, swamps, and urban areas.
