Cory Barlog, the game director of God of War (2018) wasn’t exactly happy with this, as according to him all the God of War Ragnarok fans will have a higher chance of getting spoiled which would ruin their experience. They would have to avoid all the spoilers that are spreading like wildfire on social media to play the game fresh.
Because of the leak, Cory got so frustrated that he also mentioned the upsides of having an installer on the physical editions of a game. However, he later cleared that he was expressing his frustration over the leak.
Santa Monica Studio, the developers of the game also showed their concern over the leak. They have requested everyone with early access to the game to be kind and not share any spoilers of the game on the Internet.
The developers have advised everyone trying to avoid spoilers to mute keywords or hashtags that include “God of War” or “God of War Ragnarok” until the official release to avoid any kind of spoilers.
