God of War III has gone Gold; couple of early reviews out
Christer Ericson of Santa Monica studios has confirmed with a tweet that God of War II has gone Gold and that means that it is off to manufacturing. This should be calming and assuring to the fans that the game is well on its way to meet the late March release date.
Meanwhile, a couple of reviews of God of War III have already surfaced. First up of course is the Officail PlayStation Magazine (PSM) that gave the game 9/10. The magazine had lauding comments for the series entry on the PlayStation 3; however the game fell just short of a perfect score. The reviewer noted that the reason for losing a mark is “familiarity of the core game-play— we are guessing the reviewer is saying that there is not much new with the game’s core game-play. On the other hand, it looks like God of War III will feature slaughtering on an epic scale, even by Kratos’ standards. Apart from PSM, an independent French magazine called PSM3 has given God of War III a rating of 20/20 and Consoles gave it a 19/20. Hype train is chugging along.
