Get a triple dose of NFS between April 2010 and March 2011

We have known for some time now that EA has three separate studios working on three different games in the NFS series. Now, according to future business plans posted by EA earlier, all three games will be release in the next fourteen months.

By the looks of it, the first one to see the light of day will be Need for Speed: World—an MMOG which is being jointly developed by EA Blackbox and EA Singapore. This game is slated for release in the third quarter, so this puts the release date anywhere between April and June this year. Next one on the release list is an unnamed NFS game; so it could either be the one from Criterion Games (of Burnout fame) or from EA Blackbox. (Our money is on Criterion getting a go, ahead of Blackbox). The third NFS game is planned for release between January 2011 and March 2011. Guess there truly is no rest for the wicked.
