The game will also see a bunch of events all through the month
Garena Free Fire’s OB22 Patch just landed and it should be available to all users by now. The new patch brings with it a whole host of new additions such as the new M82B sniper, which has been specifically designed to counter Gloo Walls. There is also a new character called Wolfrahh and a new flying pet called Falco. Not to mention the return of the Purgatory map. You can learn more about the patch update here. We’ve also created a separate piece on Wolfrahh which you can read here.
However, the update will also introduce a bunch of new modes and events to the game that will go on all through the month of June. Thankfully, the guys over at Garena have updated their official Reddit page with the dates of these events as well as how long they will last.
Beach Party Event (June 3 to June 14)
The Beach Party Event is a summer-themed event that promised players loads of rewards for everyday tasks. This ranges from simply logging in, to exploring and even for winning matches. The exact details of the prizes aren’t yet known, So you’ll just have to wait and see.
Clash Squad Rank Season 1 (June 4 to June 29)
This is the first official season of Clash Squad. The developers have added the new Kalahari map to rank matches and have added a new leaderboard. There is also a rank reward for players to show off. The developers are also tackling the issue of players leaving mid-match. For now, those who leave matches mid-way will be replaced by bots in order to keep the match going, while the player will face punishments.
Cold Steel Mode (June 5 to July 2)
Cold Steel Mode see 20 players fight it out with just one weapon, a throwing knife. The weapon takes quite the skill to master and requires pin-point precision from players. Each match lasts about 10 minutes, which should keep things fast-paced and snappy.
Team Deathmatch (June 2 to July 5)
Team Deathmatch is a pretty straight forward game mode that sees two teams battle it out. The first team to reach a specific kill count wins. Last time the developers only introduced the mode for a week, but this time around, it will be there for a month.
