HIGHLIGHTS

Garena Free Fire will be celebrating Holi in a pretty big way.

The developers have announced a number of in-game activities to celebrate the festival.

This includes a detailed in-game event about hunting a Demoness and collecting stolen colours.

Garena has announced that it will be celebrating Holi in Free Fire through in-game activities. The event tells the story of a Demoness who has stolen all the colours in the game. Players are called upon by in-game characters Kelly, Hayato and Misha. They are tasked to hunt down the Demoness and retrieve all the missing colours.

The in-game event is divided into multiple stages. Each successive stage unlocks once a requirement has been met.

Garena Free Fire Holi event: Stage 1

Garena Free Fire Holi event: Stage 1

The first stage is called ‘Fight For Colours’ of the Garena Free Fire Holi event which will start from March 15, and will go on till March 29. The event invites players to “hunt for the demoness’ hideout”. Players will need to pick one of the many coloured exploration track to locate and attack the Demoness. The event will also track the progress of players across India. Once all players reach a certain milestone, the Demoness will be defeated. As a reward, players will win the Punkster Runner bundle, a Custom Room Card, a Character Level 8 Card and an Awakening Shard.

According to the in-game story, once the demoness is defeated, the colours will be dispersed across different locations in the map. Players are tasked with collecting and exchanging these colours for additional rewards.

Garena Free Fire Holi event: Stage 2

In order to start in Stage 2, players will have to take a personality test. This test will feature a number of questions around their playing style, making friends and more in order to reveal their ‘true colour’. This colour will then represent the player in the final colour collection.

Players will then have to collect coloured paints from after-match drops. Any duplicate colour may be exchanged with friends. Those who gather all 10 colours will receive notable rewards. This includes the One-Finger push-up emote and the Cyber Bunnies skyboard.

A “Grand Holi” celebration in Free Fire is stated to happen on March 28. This includes a bunch of localised content such as a web series, as well as a song and music video. The web series will have three parts. It will cover how people can “meet by chance through Free Fire, forge friendships in the game, play together in duo modes, and unleash their true colours.” The first episode in the series will be published on March 16.

The new song and music video will be released on March 28 and is slated to feature “some very familiar personalities.” The details of the same are still unknown and players will have to wait and see what’s in store.

Holi Battle Check-in Event

Aside from this, there is also a special Holi Battle Check-in event where players will be rewarded for simply logging in. This event starts from today, and will go on till March 21. The event gives players access to trial cards for Legendary Weapons.
