Duke Nukem gets a launch date and a new trailer
2K Games, the official saviours of 3D Realms’ almost vapourware title – Duke Nukem Forever – have announced a release date for it – May 3rd in the US, with May 6th for the rest of the world.
The much looked forward to sequel of the cult-classic will release across platforms on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. While the below (censored) trailer still reveals some rough edges that might not be polished by the time of the game’s release, we’re confident the sheer fun to be had from the irreverent gameplay will overshadow any graphical flaws we might find.
Prodigy’s Invaders Must Die has enjoyed its fair share of popularity for a while, and game studios seem to find it very appropriate to make it the soundtrack of their alien-ass-busting game trailers [see in below video, and with Crysis 2 multiplayer trailer].
Half Life short film gets critical acclaim
With a small budget of just $1,200, the indie-made Half Life short film – Return to Black Mesa – is a 12 minute experience shadowing Gordon Freeman through the streets of City 17, complete with good acting, great sound effects, as well as NPCs and zombies.
Mortal Kombat lands April 19th
Xbox 360 and PS3 owners can rejoice, for they’ve got a release date (April 19th) for inventively-named back-to-2D return of Ed Boon’s and Midway Games’ seminal franchise – Mortal Kombat. PC gamers can drown their sorrows in the meanwhile, bemoaning their fate while shaking their heads in resignation – no port has been announced. Following the fate of Super Street Fighter IV though – there’s a teensy-weensy chance the game will return to the platform it began on…
NFS Shift 2: Unleashed trailer
While this video is mostly meant to whet appetites to sell pre-orders of the limited edition – it after all is introducing the 3 extra cars (Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV, Nissan Silvia Spec.R Aero, and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640) you will get with your purchase – you can also check out some interesting night-time racing shots of what EA and Slightly Mad Studios are calling “the most realistic racer ever.”

Crysis 2 multiplayer demo launch trailer
