DTP Entertainment announced that Divinity II has gone gold and is ready to be shipped in North America on January 5, 2010 by cdv USA. TheEnglish version of the game was released in Europe last week and it will be released in North America on the PC (Microsoft Windows) and Xbox 360, early next year.
Pre-Orders of Divinty II: Ego Draconis have begun at GameStop and they are offering bonus content on pre-order of the X360 version — evidently there appears to be no such incentive on the PC version of the game. The X360 pre-order bonus includes in-game armour set called the Blood Echelon Armour and a matching claymore with a very unimaginative name— Blood Echelon Weapon.
Noteworthy features of the game are its classless character system, ability to morph into a dragon (and of course take flight) and a personal stronghold. My personal favourite is the ability to craft not only custom weapons, but you can also design your own creatures with body parts you find during your adventure. The gaming world gives us a chance to play God yet again.
