The latest game to be offered for free as part of the Epic Games Store Holiday Sale 2022 giveaway is Dishonored – Definitive Edition. In case you're unfamiliar with the Dishonored franchise, this is definitely a title worth picking up. Dishonored was the first game to showcase Arkane Studios' amazing combat system which granted players the freedom to approach combat how they wanted; from the stealth approach to the guns blazing approach.
Dishonored features a number of skills and abilities which work beautifully together, giving players many different ways to take out the enemies they encounter. Arkane's more recent launch includes Deathloop (review), which borrows a lot from the Dishonored franchise when it comes to fluid combat gameplay.
Dishonored – Definitive Edition released back in 2015 but it still holds up today, so if you have yet to experience Dishonored, you have until January 5, 2023, 9:30 PM IST to claim the game for free on the Epic Games Store. That is in addition to Eximus: Seize the Frontline, which is also up for grabs on the Epic Games Store until January 5.
How to get Dishonored – Definitive Edition for free on the Epic Games Store
Being one of the more prominent titles to be given away during the Epic Games Store Holiday Sale 2022, a lot of players will be interested in redeeming Dishonored – Definitive Edition. Here's how you can do it:
– Create an Epic Games Store account. This step is mandatory. Creating an Epic Games Store account will also help you claim all future free titles on the Epic Games Store as well. Creating an account is free, and can be done on any browser. You can also log in using your PlayStation, Xbox, Google, and more accounts as well.
– Once you have logged into Epic Games Store, scroll down to find Dishonored – Definitive Edition on the home page in the free games section. Alternatively, you can use the search feature to simply type in Dishonored and you should see it.
– Go to the details page by clicking on it.
– Here, click on 'Get' and it will take you to the check out page.
– Don't worry, you don't need to input any payment methods, simply click on 'Confirm' and the game will be added to your Epic Games Store library.
The same process can be done on the Epic Games Store client as well, on PC.
All free games claimed on the Epic Games Store are permanent and yours to keep forever, so don't worry about losing access to the game once the claim period has lapsed. Of course, don't forget to claim the game, however!
