Devil’s Third is a new third-person shooter / hack and slash game which has been developed by Valhalla Game Studios. Originally the game was to be published by THQ, but according to a recent announcement, THQ dropped its rights to the intellectual property (IP), giving it back to the original developer, Valhalla Game Studios. According to the announcement, Valhalla are to launch it soon on a wide variety of digital devices as well as home consoles and PC.
“To all our fans and members of the industry, we greatly appreciate your support… We will continue to do our best to fulfill your expectations, and we sincerely hope for your continued encouragement and support.” – Satoshi Kanematsu, CEO of Valhalla Games, said that on developers website.
According to Valhalla, the development on the game is still in process as they are still working on the game, and they are up to release it on consoles, as well as on PC. Along with this move, Kanematsu also confirmed his plans regarding to expand the Devil’s Third universe with manga, novels, animation and other films with the collaboration with other studios. The game’s IP is was spearheaded by legendary creator, Tomonobu Itagaki, best known for the Dead or Alive franchise.
Already two trailers of Devil’s Third, has been released so far, but the amazing part is that the trailer did not reveal any story details, rather just showed some hilariously-themed violence. Valhalla started working on Devil’s in 2009 and its trailer was formally unveiled in 2010. Check it out below:
