In a recent podcast, Japanese publisher Dengeki has hinted at a possible sequel of Demon’s Souls towards the end of this year. Without giving any specifics, the podcast mentions an unannounced sequel to a game which was released last year. There were other hints in the podcast that let us to believe that in all likelihood Dengeki is talking about Demon’s Souls 2. The message describes the mysterious game as challenging and extremely hard with ‘interesting’ game-play.
Demon’s Souls in an action RPG developed by From Software and published by SCE in Japan. The game was later published by Atlus in North America; whereas there are no plans so far, of a PAL release. Despite its reportedly steep learning curve and less than forgiving game mechanics, Demon’s Souls has received critical acclaim and brisk commercial success since its release in February 2009.
