One of the most anticipated games of 2020, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled to be released on April 16th. But, according to a new tweet by the Polish studio, the game has been delayed until September 17th. Players were looking forward to getting their hands on the much-hyped title but will now have to wait a little longer to explore the world of Night City. The game has been in development since 2013 and it’s taken a while for the Polish studio to polish and fine-tune the game. All this means is that CD Projekt RED are looking at releasing the best product possible so this is nothing to worry about.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an incredibly detailed and ambitious game, so for the devs to take a little more time, fine tuning the mechanics, combat and general gameplay, it should not be any cause for alarm. In fact, The FInal Fantasy Remake has been delayed from March 2020 to April 2020. Marvel’s new Avengers game has also been delayed and the release day has been moved from May to September.
CD Projekt RED have said that ,”Night City is massive – full of content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing.” So, let’s put away the knives for now and have some faith in CDPR as this was the studio that gave us classics like The Witcher series of games.
