Corsair unleashes 750W, 850W, 1200W – high-performance gaming PSUs in Indian market
Corsair®, a renowned global supplier & manufacturer of high-performance components for the PC gaming hardware market, today reportedly announced the new Professional Series™ Gold AX750, AX850 & AX1200 fully-modular power supply units, with 80 PLUS® GOLD certification.
It has been reported that the Professional Series Gold line-up of power supplies have been designed by the Corsair’s engineers from the scratch, with the focus solely on delivering top notch performance and building the most technologically-advanced PSUs in the market. They are reportedly built using the server-grade power train architecture designed for mission-critical levels that demand voltage stability and reliability, and have been rated to deliver previously untouched levels of performance.
Jim Carlton, VP of Marketing for Corsair, has reportedly stated, “As shown by numerous reviews and accolades, Corsair has consistently been in the forefront of the industry in producing some of the very best PSUs for enthusiasts and gamers. With Corsair Professional Series Gold power supplies, we have raised the performance bar even higher. By taking a no-compromises attitude to engineering and product development and incorporating server-grade technology, we believe we have created some of the most solid and efficient high-wattage power supplies currently on the market.”
Corsair Professional Series Gold power supplies have been reported to exceed the requirements for 80 Plus Gold certification , by delivering over 90% efficiency at 50% load while running on a 115V AC input. This is said to increase to about 92% efficiency when used with the 230V AC voltage input specification across Europe. Supported with an advanced cooling design, Corsair Professional Series Gold PSUs are expected to be exceptionally quiet and efficient.
In order to achieve these benchmark standards of efficiency, voltage stability, and reliability, Corsair has purportedly incorporated various sophisticated server-level technologies into the manufacturing of its Professional Series Gold PSUs. These are said to include Zero Voltage Switching and Zero Current Switching technology to eliminate switching losses and reduce EMI (Electro-Magentic Interference), and establish individual DC-to-DC voltage regulation for the 3.3V, 5V and 12V rails. The use of secondary-side synchronous rectification and an advanced 4-layer PCB (Printed Circuit Board) apparently results in unusually low levels of ripple and noise.
The Corsair Professional Series Gold AX1200, AX850 and AX750 PSUs are quoted to feature a fully-modular low-profile cable set. Thus allowing the system builders to incorporate only those cables that are needed, reducing cable clutter and maximizing airflow through the PC. All Professional Series Gold power supplies are said to possess the ability to constantly deliver the full rated output, at an ambient temperature of up to 50°C; which means they could continue to deliver outstanding performance even at peak temperatures.
Corsair Professional Series Gold power supplies reportedly offer the promise of reliability with a seven year limited warranty, and backed up by Corsair’s legendary customer service and technical support. However, the price details have not yet been revealed for the Indian market.
