Castlevania: Lord of Shadows, released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, is now getting a PC port which will now be known as Castlevania: Lords of Shadows: Ultimate Edition.
Konami is reviving their Castlevania: Lord of Shadows franchise by creating an Ultimate Edition PC version. The new edition headed for the PC this August comes with extra chapters and HD enhancements. The so called Ultimate Edition comes along with Reverie and Resurrection DLC packs. The most striking feature for hack and slash fans would be that it’ll run at 60FPS and has enhanced 1080p HD graphics.
Criticism of the console version included camera issues, some buggy controls and the game lacked overall punch, hopefully the new PC version would live up to expectations.
The PC announcement confirms rumours sparked last month when the game appeared in the Steam database. Interestingly, the PC version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadows will probably release around the same time as the sequel, Castlevania: Lord of Shadows 2, which is also scheduled to be released this year. The sequel already has a PC version announced, and we hope Konami decides to release the game for all three platforms simultaneously.
