Call of Duty: Black Ops II leaked online

Call of Duty: Black Ops II, set to release on November 13 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows was recently leaked online with a fully working ISO of the game already up for download on most popular file-sharing and torrent websites.

The CoD: Black Ops II copy was allegedly uploaded by “BAD 2 THE BON3” from 360iso, a website that specializes in reproducing Xbox 360 disc images. This is not too soon after the leak of Halo 4 last month which was also supposedly done by the same uploader. Gameplay videos, spoilers and cinematics of the game are already being released onto the web by the minute, which may ruin the experience for many excited gamers across the world.

Gameplay footage with zombies are by far the most popular of the several live-streams have already emerged. Treyarch design director, David Vonderhaar responded to these streams, saying, “If you are going to live-stream the game early, which I don’t remotely recommend, you could at least be good at it. :P”, and, “I’m really glad people are excited for the game, Legit streams coming up later this week and early next. Watch this space”, via Twitter.

Following action taken by Microsoft in response to the leaking of Halo 4, Treyarch and Activision will most likely respond similarly and quickly do what they can to get the images and videos off the net, with the game being the development/publisher duo’s prime release of the year.

While the leak was thought to have originated in the US, reports claim that it was due to a premature release of the game in Slovakia, where a distributor began sales late in October itself.
