BGIS 2023: Neeraj Chopra praises Team Gladiator for winning: Here’s their mind-blowing prize!

The BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2023 kickstarted in July 2023, and 2048 teams were selected from all over India.

Team Gladiators lifted the championship trophy and received a lot of rewards.

Team Gladiator were awarded a cash prize of ₹75,00,000.

Krafton recently hosted the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 or the BGIS 2023 offline LAN event. This was a 3-day-long event held on October 12, 13, and 15. It concluded with a finale on 15th October held at SVP Stadium in Mumbai. 

Team Gladiators lifted the championship trophy and received a lot of rewards. Let’s take a look at what this 3-day long Battlegrounds championship was all about.

What is the BGIS Championship?

So, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 kickstarted in July 2023, and 2048 teams were selected from all over India. Out of these 2048 teams, only 16 made it to the finals that were held on 12, 13, and 15 October in Mumbai. 

In Mumbai, during the three-day event, participants had to indulge in intense matches and other esports extravaganzas. Fans were also present there to cheer up and lift the spirits. There were over 6,000 people present to spectate the tournament. This makes BGIS one of the biggest Esports Battle Royale events in India. 

On top of that, the event was graced by Olympic Games Champion- Neeraj Chopra.

He was present as the Chief Guest on the last day during the closing ceremony and presented the awards to the winners.

Who won the BGIS Championship and what?

As mentioned before, 16 teams went head to head during the tournament to win a “chicken dinner”. They competed in 18 matches. Everyone put their best foot forward but as is the law, only one team could emerge victorious. After the rigorous matches, it was Team Gladiators who lifted the championship crown. They were awarded a cash prize of ₹75,00,000! The second position was held by Big Brother Esports who received a prize money of ₹37,50,000. And finally, the third position was held by Team X Spark who got a prize money of ₹25,00,000.
