Pre-registrations for Battlegrounds Mobile India are now open on the Google Play Store. The game's parent company, Krafton Inc., announced the game as PUBG Mobile India back in November, but it was renamed Battlegrounds Mobile India earlier this month. To recall, PUBG Mobile was banned in India in 2020 citing privacy and security concerns by the government of India. It should be noted that Krafton has not yet confirmed the launch date for the game.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is also offering four pre-registration rewards. These include the Recon Mask, Recon outfit, Celebration Expert Title and 300 AG. Players who pre-register the game on the Google Play Store will be eligible to receive these rewards once the game launches. The game is up for pre-registration for Android and there is no word on the iOS availability yet.
Battlegrounds Mobile India has also released a teaser video featuring actor Arshad Warsi and three popular players, Aaditya ‘Dynamo’ Sawant, Jonathan Amaral and Chetan ‘Kronten’ Chandgude.

While announcing Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton revealed that the game will have exclusive in-game events like outfits and other such features. The developers also revealed that the game will power its own esports ecosystem in India with tournament and league matches with big prize pools. They will also collaborate with partners to boost the esports scene in India and will bring exclusive in-game content that will be India-centric.
Krafton Inc has not revealed the exact launch date of Battlegrounds Mobile India yet but it is rumoured to launch in June.
