Asus launched the ROG Ally last year as a competitor of Steam Deck. Now, the word on the grapevine is that the Asus ROG Ally X, a next-gen handheld gaming console, is expected to be launched soon. However, we all know that before launching any new device, the internet is buzzing with rumours and leaks about the product. We have come across leaks that give us a hint at the specifications that this device can pack. Read along to find out.

Let’s quickly take a look at the expected specifications of this upcoming gaming console.

More powerful Asus ROG Ally X

First up, it could carry a 7-inch full-HD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. We might get to see a larger battery this time on the Asus ROG X Ally. As compared to the 40Whr battery that we previously saw on the first-gen ROG Ally, this device is said to pack an 80Wr battery. It might also feature 24GB of RAM and have higher bandwidth. It is expected to operate at 7,500MHz compared to the previous 6,400MHz. For performance, the ROG Ally X is rumoured to run on the AMD Ryzen Z1 Ultimate APU.

With gaming, comes heating issues too. To address that, Asus might have redesigned the fan for this gaming console. It is 23% smaller and has fins that are 50% thinner than the ones we saw in the previous device. This allows for a 10% improvement in airflow.

It is expected that the ROG Ally X will take into consideration all the feedback that it got from the first generation of the device, as per a VideoCardz report.

The ROG Ally X can weigh around 678g and can be around 36.9mm thick.

Expected launch and price

The ROG Ally X can be priced at around $799 (approximately Rs. 66,400). It is expected that Asus will unveil the ROG Ally X at Computex 2024 which begins on June 4th.
