The shipment of the PC version of Assassin’s Creed III that was on route to Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg has been stolen. The shipment for these countries was in a single truck and the truck has been stolen. The theft took place on November 14.
Ubisoft claims that the launch of the PC version of Assassin’s Creed III won’t be affected in these countries as new stock is being sourced from elsewhere. It has however affected customer who preordered the “Join or Die” edition of the game, as it cannot be re-manufactured.
Ubisift has released the barcodes of the stolen games to retailers and has blacklisted the same from the online authentication.
Assassin’s Creed III launched for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 on October 30, and on November 20 for the PC. This is the fifth game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise and players don the role of a new lead protagonist, Connor.
