Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag confirmed, release date leaked
Ubisoft has confirmed the next game in the Assassin's Creed franchise and the release date for the same has leaked online.
After a slew of leaks hit the Internet, Ubisoft confirmed the next game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Titled Black Flag, the game is expected to hit the current console generation as well as the next.
The release date of the game has been leaked online and it is expected to hit store shelves on the 28th of October. A lot of rumours are circulating around the Internet about the lead protagonist in the game. Some rumours suggest that his name is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway who plays the father of Connor in Assassin’s Creed III.
On the official Assassin’s Creed website, there is a counter which counts down to the unveiling of the first trailer of the game. As of writing this article, the timer is at 4 days, 12 hours and 48 minutes. You can take a look at the countdown here.
There are no details available on the story of the game or the timeline in which it will be set. There is also no information on who will be the new lead protagonist now that Desmond is no more.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has become an annual cash cow for Ubisoft and all the game released so far have been quite impressive. The last game in the franchise, Assassins Creed III tells the story of Connor who has a Native American and British origin that dons the role of the Assassins.
