Unlike most other battle royale games, Apex Legends has always been about teams of three battling it out to be the last ones standing. Now though, it looks like players will finally be able to play the game solo, at least for a limited time. The developers, Respawn, have announced that from August 13 to August 27, players will be able to play by themselves. If successful, it is possible that the developers may make this a permanent part of the game.

While games like PUBG and Fortnite offered players the option to team up or play solo, Apex Legends was exclusively a game in which three players teamed up to win the match. The game is set in the Titanfall universe and weapons and terrain traversal should be familiar to anyone who has played that game. However, it should be noted that there are no Titans in the game, but each of the ‘Legends’ have their own set of unique powers.
It should also be noted that the game is free to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In order to play on the PC, players will need at least an Intel Core i3-6300 or AMD FX-4350 processor along with 6GB RAM. For graphics, players will need at least an Nvidia GeForce GT 640 or Radeon HD 7730.
Initially, players only had eight characters to choose from. However, since launch, the developers have increased that number to ten. New additions include the likes of Wattson, a character who offers abilities like perimeter defence, Interception Pylon and more.
