Updated on 05-Nov-2012

Rovio’s Angry Birds Space is getting 10 new levels, and the PC version of the franchise thus far will be launched in India via Milestone, on November 9.

The new levels of Angry Birds Space are based on the Red Planet. The pigs are hiding on the fiery planet with a hijacked Mars Curiosity Rover and it’s the job of the Angry Birds to rescue it. The 10 new ‘volcanic’ levels also include the Mars Curiosity Rover boss level. A three star achievement on all the levels unlocks a new antenna egg level. There is a hidden rover too in the game, and hunting for it unlocks a super-secret bonus level.

Milestone Interactive, a gaming distribution and marketing company in India have tied up with developer Rovio to launch the Angry Birds series on the PC. As of now, gamers can play Angry Birds for free via the Chrome browser.

Milestone will release Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio and Angry Birds Space to the Indian consumers starting from Rs. 499 (each), and will be available across electronic stores.

Milestone Interactive Group chairman and CEO Jayont R. Sharma said, “We are proud to finally make the Angry Birds franchise on PC available to all its fans in India. Indian PC gaming market is vast and playing Angry Birds on this platform will make the experience enjoyable for gamers and casual fans alike. This will be a new and exciting experience for Milestone and a positive step in our constant endeavor to increase our product offering to the Indian consumer. Given the mass popularity of this franchise, we are hoping to place these titles in newer channels for games – Hypermarkets, Gifts and Novelties, Mobile accessories and Stationery stores.”
