Alien vs. Predator multiplayer modes
Sega has released a video from Multiplayer Gamer’s Day, at what appears to be Rebellion Studios. The video showcases the various multiplayer modes in the forthcoming Alien vs. Predator game, along with comments from the developers and media present at the event.
Due to the multi-faction nature of AVP games, multiplayer game-play has always been central to the franchise. The next release in the series will see a comeback of traditional multiplayer modes like the various combinations of Deathmatches and co-operative team survival mode. One mode that clearly stands out from the bunch is called “Predator Hunt”–a mode that several players against one. That one player will take on the roll of the Predator, while all the other players will assume the role of human soldiers. Once the Predator has been successfully ‘hunted’, that player will swap roles with the human soldier that hunted him down.
The video also has some visually stunning game play footage showing some brutal takedown moves of the Alien and the Predator. Alien vs. Predator is reportedly going to be the first game published by Sega based on the Aliens franchise, since Aliens: Colonial Marines has been pushed back indefinitely. This game is expected to release early next year the PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
