Wednesday Season 2 has already been confirmed to premiere in 2025, bringing back the dark humour, supernatural mysteries, and gothic charm that made the first season a global hit. When Wednesday debuted, it quickly became one of Netflix’s most successful shows. It spent 20 weeks on the Global Top 10 and reached the Top 10 in 93 countries with 252.10 million views.

Wednesday Season 2 will be released in 2025 on Netflix. The exact release date is yet to be announced.

What to expect from Wednesday Season 2

Season 2 will continue to follow Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) as she navigates life at Nevermore Academy while uncovering dark secrets. The next season will be “darker and more complex,” according to showrunners and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar Al Gough and Miles Millar. They teased that Wednesday will deal with family, friends, new mysteries, and old enemies in the upcoming season.

A sneak peek released by Netflix shows Wednesday visiting her former enemy, Tyler (Hunter Doohan), in the asylum where he is held. While no other details have been revealed, the showrunners assured fans that Season 2 will be “delightfully dark, kooky, and mysterious.”

Wednesday Season 2 cast

Many fan-favourite characters will return in Season 2. Jenna Ortega will reprise her role as Wednesday and also serve as a producer. Other returning cast members include:

The new season will also introduce new faces, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. 

The Wednesday Season 2 premiere is titled “Here We Woe Again.” It is written by Gough and Millar, and directed by Tim Burton. With its returning cast, new characters and darker mysteries, Wednesday Season 2 will be worth watching.
