If you loved the action-packed world of Pushpa, get ready for more. The blockbuster franchise that took the box office by storm is officially returning with Pushpa 3. The movie has been tentatively scheduled for a release in 2028, as confirmed by the film’s producers.
But why the long wait? This is because Allu Arjun has two major projects lined up before he can start filming the next Pushpa movie. First, he will have to wrap up his collaboration with director Atlee. After that, he will work with Trivikram Srinivas. These two films are expected to keep him busy for the next two years.
Meanwhile, Pushpa director Sukumar is also occupied with another big project. He will be working with Ram Charan on a new film before he returns to work on Pushpa 3.

Film dialogue writer Srikanth Vissa has already hinted that Pushpa 3 will be even bigger, grander, and better than Pushpa 2. The film will introduce new characters, and the makers are reportedly in talks with a big Bollywood star to play the antagonist. However, the final confirmation is still awaited.

The Pushpa franchise began in 2021 with Pushpa – The Rise, which grossed over Rs 350 crore worldwide and became one of the biggest hits of the year. This success paved the way for a sequel, Pushpa 2 – The Rule, which was released in December 2023 and shattered records with a global box office collection of Rs 1,750 crore. It became the third-highest-grossing Indian film of all time, making Pushpa 3 one of the most anticipated movies in the industry.
