Pushpa 2: The Rule, the sequel to the blockbuster movie Pushpa: The Rise, was released in theatres on December 5 and it was an instant success. The movie stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. If you are one of those who are waiting for its OTT release, then you’re in luck. Netflix has the OTT rights to the movie.

When will Pushpa 2: The Rule release on Netflix?

Sharing the same on its social media platform, Netflix said, “Pushpa is about to come out of hiding and he’s coming to RULE! #Pushpa2: The Rule is coming soon on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.”

The OTT giant is yet to confirm the official release date but if we consider the usual timelines, Pushpa 2 can make it to OTT only after 6-8 weeks of its theatrical release. So we can expect it somewhere around February 2025.

About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Pushpa 2: The Rule has been directed by Sukumar. The story picks up with Allu Arjun’s character, Pushpa, facing off against Fahadh Faasil’s Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles. Rashmika Mandanna comes back as Srivalli. We can expect some high-octane action and powerful performances from the sequel too. 

Audience Reaction

Pushpa 2: The Rule has already set the box office on fire. Within just days of its release, the movie is breaking records. According to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the movie surpassed the lifetime earnings of Pushpa: The Rise. It had grossed Rs 350.1 crore worldwide within just two days. The sequel opened to an extraordinary Rs 164.25 crore, followed by Rs 93.8 crore on Day 2 and Rs 115 crore on Day 3.
