The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 will record 360-degree sound for videos
Samsung has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will let you record 360-degree sound on your smartphone while you record videos. The device brings a brand new ability – it can record binaural audio, which you can then match with video when using a Samsung Galaxy smartphone that runs the One UI 5.0. In order to facilitate this, Samsung has created a ‘360 Audio Recording’ app that can be used on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. You can use the buds as left and right microphones. The audio then sounds like there was a microphone in the location, according to the brand.
Explaining the feature further, the brand said “The feature picks up 360-degree sound using a microphone in each earbud, placing viewers at the center of a roaring festival crowd or beside a bubbling brook in the middle of a forest. Users can pop in connected headphones and playback the video on their device or social media channel to hear lifelike and immersive sounds that emulate an in-person experience.”
How does the binaural audio feature work?
The microphones have been designed in a way to copy the way the human ear deciphers audio by ensuring that the sound effect is three-dimensional in nature. LE Audio broadens the overall spectrum of audio perceptions, and this creates a very rich sound.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro entered the market on August 2022 and is priced at ₹17,999.
When will the feature launch?
The audio recording feature will be made available starting today. You can use it on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, and even the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup.
