Sennheiser HD620S launched in India; All you need to know about their price, availability, and more

After a long wait, Indian audiophiles were treated to the launch of the Sennheiser HD620S headphones, as the brand announced their launch in India. These audiophile-grade, closed-back headphones have been available in the global market for a couple of months now and have been competing against the likes of the Focal Azurys.

The Sennheiser HD620S headphones are a pair of closed-back headphones, packing a “custom-tuned 42mm dynamic transducer”. They have a plastic build, with a metal in-lay in the headband. The cable of these headphones is detachable, with the option to connect them to your audio source using a 3.5mm or using the quarter-inch TRS adapter that comes bundled with them.

The closed-back design of these headphones is aimed at providing a more isolated listening experience to the users, which includes not only audiophiles but gamers and streamers as well. Here, I would like to point out that these headphones do not have a microphone, so if you are looking to make them the primary audio source of your gaming setup, then you will need to get a dedicated microphone.

As claimed by the brand, the Sennheiser HD620S come out of the box with an airy sound signature aimed at preserving the bass while keeping the sound as close to neutral as possible. These headphones have a 150 Ohm impedance, so most desktop PCs should be able to drive them well enough.
