Following up on the launch of the latest addition to their lineup of headphones, the Marshall Major V, the brand has brought their latest over-ear headphones to India, the Marshall Monitor III headphones. Launched at the price of ₹29,999, these headphones promise to be the go-to headphones for music lovers. Let’s take a look at what they bring to the table.

Marshall Monitor III – Solid specs at a steep price

Marshall Monitor III will be going up against the heavy hitters in the over-ear headphones space with their hefty price tag and robust feature set. The brand claims that these headphones pack 70 hours of battery life with ANC on, and without ANC, the number goes up to 100 hours. Taking a page out of its competitors’ handbook, the brand has also increased focus on the ANC tech that is packed into these headphones, upgrading the system that was packed in their predecessors.

For this launch, Marshall collaborated with the Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong. While the musician has no direct involvement with the launch, his presence can be seen in the marketing materials for these new headphones.

The headphones carry the traditional Marshall design language and come in a package that seems to be fairly portable so that you can carry your favourite gear on the go! The headphones also have a new and improved soundstage, which promises to provide an immersive experience for the users. Complimenting the ANC on these headphones, we also get an adaptive loudness feature, which will ensure that the loudness of your headphones is in line with what is needed for the environment you are in without you having to make adjustments for yourself.

The efficacy of these features will be something that you will need to look for when making the purchase. However, it will be interesting to see how they perform against the likes of the Sony WF-1000XM5, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra and the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones, all three of whom have built a solid reputation for themselves in the audio space.
