Marshall, adding to their line of personal audio products, has launched the Marshall Major V in India, a couple of months after its overseas launch which happened in April this year. This pair of headphones is the successor to the Marshall Major IV, which launched around four years ago. Let’s find out all you need to know about Marshall’s latest on-ear wireless headphones –
Marshall Major V brings along an impressive spec sheet with it –
These headphones are slightly heavier than their predecessors, coming in at 186 gm compared to the 165 gm of the Marshall Major IV. The increased weight could be attributed to the increased battery life on these headphones compared to their predecessors. On paper, their driver sensitivity is higher than the Major IV, despite the same driver size.
The Marshall Major V are rated to have a driver sensitivity of 106 dB SPL compared to the 99 dB SPL of the Major IV. One of the biggest increments in the form of features and specifications is the inclusion of Bluetooth LE audio in these headphones. There is also Spotify Tap support and On-the-fly EQ change on the headphones themselves.

At the time of launch, the Marshall Major V headphones are priced at ₹14,999. They are available for purchase on Marshall’s online store.
Now, given that Marshall has retained the same driver size of their headphones, with the increased sensitivity indicating some changes to the driver’s tuning, it will be interesting to see how they fare in our tests when they come into the Digit Test Centre. Stay tuned to Digit.in for more!
